About Us
In March 2006, the Branford RTM passed a resolution directing the town to join the CT Clean Energy Fund's Clean Energy Communities program, in which local governments support clean renewable energy for 20% of their municipal electricity purchases, and to appoint a Clean Energy Task Force. The Task Force investigates options for meeting the 20% goal, such as on-site renewable generation, energy efficiency, and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and encourages residents and businesses to enroll in the CT-Clean-Energy-Options program. The Task Force also distributes grant money for local clean energy awareness projects.

The Task Force's current members include: Tommy Cleveland, Bob Ferretti, Mike Hughes, Jonathon Katz, Lindsay Mathews, Shirley McCarthy, Charles Shelton, and Richard Sullivan. The Task Force usually meets the first Tuesday of each month. Please contact us if you'd like to get involved.
