2. Receive Grant Money

The Task Force, in partnership with the CT Clean Energy Fund, is requesting proposals for projects that promote the use of clean renewable energy in our community. We are offering micro-grants, ranging in size from $250 to $2,000, to individuals or groups. It is our intent to support local projects that result in local outreach or press coverage on the availability of clean energy, and actual enrollments in the CTCleanEnergyOptions program, which allows Branford electricity customers to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) through their CL&P bills.

Examples of successful projects might include, but are not limited to: a door-to-door sign-up campaign, educating school students or community groups, a display or event designed to teach visitors about clean energy, or local cable access programming.

3. Volunteer
If you are not interested in writing a grant, but would like to volunteer or receive community service hours, we encourage you to email us.
